Musha Elite - "Heiwa Teien" (Peace Garden)
The "Heiwa Teien" (Peace Garden) Katana from the Musha Elite Collection has an upgraded 1040-1045 high carbon steel blade that is tempered and sharp right out of the box; it has a blade that is made exceptionally vibrant with a deeply blackened blade contrasted against its polished steel edge. The Katana takes its name from its tsuba which features a bamboo forest motif as bamboo is a symbol of peace, tranquility and resilience and an ideal reflection for the mind of the warrior who bears such a sword.
The tsuba, fuchi and kashira components of the hilt are superbly cast metal with a silver finish. The wooden tsuka is fitted with panels of faux rayskin which is overlaid in knotted tsuka ito cord. The companion saya scabbard to the katana of carved wood is finished with a glossy dark red lacquer with a knotted black sageo cord. Also included is a cloth sword bag for storage and transport and a shelf / desktop display stand.
