I thought for the price it might be alright, its pretty rough though. Blade is sharp but the fittings are rough and loose. For $80 its more functional than a wallhanger. Makes a great gift for someone getting into swords, but dont expect to get more than what you pay for.

An excellent sword, sharp, the brass piece that connects the blade to the hand guard was scratched up pretty good and that black doohickey that all the strings are tied too broke off easily. Overall a good sword for the price.
