This two handed battle axe features an unsharpened carbon steel head secured to a heavy duty wood shaft. The end has a brass counter weight in the form of a claw grasping a sphere.

Received it as a gift and its a overall a beautiful weapon, but after a little bit the head has become wiggly (without any use) and whatever is attaching the counterweight is coming off slightly

      Unique Polearm

This is more like a shorter poleaxe with its back spike and heavy blade with tip that has able thrusting ability.

The fit and finish is a bit rough and the counter weight feels thin and light. However, the head and langets are solid. The shaft is a flattened octagon and feels good in my grip but might be a problem if you have smaller sized hands.

I was looking for a primary weapon for my XVI C. mercenary kit but wanted something other than a pike, halberd, or typical poleaxe. Might not be exactly historically accurate but was exactly what I was looking for.

If you want a big, brutal, two-handed weapon, you won’t be disappointed at this price.
