Red Dragon – Forearm and Elbow Protectors

This set of Red Dragon HEMA Forearm and Elbow protectors consists of four separate pieces of protective gear: two forearm protectors and 2 elbow protectors. The forearm protection is constructed from heavy duty cotton with seven integrated plastic plates for protection which envelop the entire forearm when fastened into place with its pair of velcro straps.

For HEMA, this product has been classified as either appropriate for all skill levels or appropriate for those with Advanced Skills. Michael Turner, instructor at Tuathair Academy of Swordsmanship, assisted us in categorizing these items for the different skill levels of HEMA participants. These categorizations are meant as guidelines. Please refer to tournament rules for specific competition requirements. For this purpose, we do not include swords that may be used in cutting competitions in the HEMA category.

The elbow protection has a hard plastic shell with a padded backing. It is fitted onto the inside of the forearm protection with a single band of velcro to ensure it stays in position in relation to the forearm armor. Another elastic velcro strap secures the elbow armor to the arm. One size fits most.
