Reinforced Large Steel Buckler – 16 inch – 14 Gauge Steel – Lord of Battles

This large buckler is large enough that it is about the size of a smaller targe or round shield which gives it a fine balance between maximizing defensive ability and portability. A sizeable buckler such as this is an excellent match for an arming sword or a sidesword and in the hands of a capable and well-trained duelist it can shift seamlessly from defensive tool to offensive weapon. A large buckler when held outstretched not only denies a substantial amount of attacking angles from a foe, but in a moment of opportunity the shield boss or rim can impart a shattering bludgeoning strike.

This buckler is crafted from thick and durable 14 gauge steel which is reinforced with bands of riveted steel. The steel grip is dual riveted to the reverse and the grip is finished with two halves of blackened wood.
