Ronin Katana Model 24
Silvered dragons stylistically adorn the Ronin Katana Model #24 Katana to give a aura of regal, imperial power. The forged blade is of 1045 high carbon steel and the sharpened blade was clay-tempered in the traditional manner so as to possess a natural hamon which was brought out in a fine blade polish. The tsuba, fuchi and kashira hilt components are cast metal with a silvered finish and the wooden grip has panels of genuine rayskin which is overlaid in knotted cotton tsuka-ito grip. The sword is paired with a saya scabbard of wood which has a glossy finish of black lacquer and a knotted sageo cord. A cloth bag for transport and storage is included.
This type of sword is considered a quality entry-level cutter by Ronin Katana. Ronin advises that they are safe to use against single soaked tatami mats, as well as water bottles and similar targets. Ronin discourages their use against hard targets, as well as thick, hard plastic jugs
