The Scottish Knight Templar Sword has a blade forged from EN45 high carbon steel; the crossguard and pommel are mild steel and the wooden grip is tightly overlaid in a spiralled leather grip wrap. On both sides of the pommel the inset Templar Cross is picked out and detailed in scarlet enamel.

The sword is paired with a wood-core scabbard that is bound in leather and finished with steel fittings and steel hanging rings.

This being my first ever sword, I am very impressed. The blade is built extremely well with no imperfections that I can see. The guard is slightly off-center from the fuller on one side, but that isn’t very important. The scabbard has some slight bumps and scratches, but again, I find it unimportant and it makes it seem much more authentic. The handle is very comfortable and well done. The sharpening guys did a great job as well!

I was looking for a mid-to-late 13th century sword with some templar styling, but not so over-the-top that it pushed it into the realm of “Hollywood” like some of the more expensive Templar swords. This was perfect. The slight curve to the hilt echoes to miniatures in the Maciejowski Bible and an Oakshot XII to XIII, while not breaking the bank to be more sword than I needed for historical reenactment and festival use. But I wanted a full carbon steel blade, peened pommel, and enough weight behind it to function as a real sword should. And thanks to KOA’s fantastic YouTube videos showing this sword in an action, it was brilliant. The pictures do not do this justice-it is far better in person, flawless and packaged beautifully and safely. Even with the added sharpening I had it at my door in less than 3 weeks. Well balanced, solid, and feels sure in the hand with good purchase and a fantastic leather-wrapepd wood handle. My guard is perfectly centered, and it completely makes my completed historically accurate 13th C Knight Templar kit.
