The Bruce Sword has a blade forged from EN45 high carbon steel and its brass hilt prominently features Crosses on the quillons and the Lion Rampant of Scotland upon its pommel – all picked out in vibrant red enamel. A removable felt tab atop the guard cushions it against the scabbard. The grip is wood and it is tightly overlaid in knotted leather to create a secure and regal grip.

The companion scabbard is crafted from wood and it is tightly bound in leather and completed with a pair of brass hanging rings.

This sword is agile and easily maneuvered, as would be expected of a capable arming sword.

I have two main gripes with this sword.

First: The wrapping on the handle is god awful. It’s like wielding an erect piece of sailor rope. if you do not your hands to become calloused, wear gloves.

Second: The sword is v e r y front heavy. If you swing this sword, the weight of it will essentially force you into following through on your swing. This can be mitigated by using both hands. This might also be because I am not particularly strong, in that I am a weak noodle nerd man.

Despite these expected problems, the sword also has some things I like about it.

The pommel and cross guard designs are cool, and they help add to what would be a bland sword. Furthermore, the scabbard looks nice. It has an aged look to it which I actually quite like.

Overall the sword is mediocre, but for the price I wasn’t really expecting it to be the next Excalibur. All I can really say for sure is buy at your own risk.
