Valiant Armoury Craftsman Series – German Medieval Longsword – Red Scabbard

This Valiant Armoury German Longsword is part of Valiants Craftsman Series and was entirely made in the USA by Zach and Sonny Suttles. This premium quality offering from Valiant has a blade of 5160 high carbon steel which has been well-tempered. The sword is finely balanced and is quite responsive and will both cut and thrust with great ability. The crossguard and pommel are steel and the wooden grip is well-shaped and contoured and is finished with a tight and excellently executed binding of oxblood hue leather. The blade and hilt were mounted together with a hot-peen construction for a powerful and strong permanent connection.

The sword is completed with a high quality scabbard, suspension and sword belt for a complete package. The scabbard is wood which is leather-bound and embellished with embossed leatherwork. The chape is steel and the suspension buckles are antiqued metal with steel tongues and these are knotted onto the scabbard with bands of leather. The sword belt is thick and premium quality leather with matching fittings and highly detailed decorative leatherwork. Two included sword hangers connect the belt to the scabbard buckles and also adjust its angle and height to fit.
