The Official Sword of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, Warhorse Studios tapped Czech swordmaker Wulflund to make the officially licensed Invictus Sword and we are pleased to have a limited amount of these available! Crafted from close collaboration with the Game develops, Wulflund and historical experts, this finely crafted sword was made to be a fitting match in quality and craftsmanship to the sequel game in order to receive its official sword status from Warhorse Studios. Each one is handcrafted and given artisanal attention by Wulflund and will last many decades or longer with care.
Boldly emblazoned on the inset pommel coins is Audentes Fortuna Iuvat, meaning Fortune Favors the Brave. The blunt-edged blade is forged from well-tempered 54SiCr6 High Carbon Steel and is solidly mounted into a hilt with a steel guard and pommel. It is clear from a glance that all these components were made to a high quality and with though handcrafted and hand finished for that authentic charm are still made to a high level of precision with care taken for a solid and finished fitting at the connections to all components. Like historic originals, the blade tang and pommel slot are trapezoidal in shape for a very strong connection that resists shifting and errant movement; the slot through the pommel also narrows to help achieve a robust friction fit, not only as the tang is passed through the pommel, but reinforced as the excess tang is peened over the pommel to permanently assemble the sword. The grip is wood which has been carefully wrapped with a very well done binding of hand stitched leather – its a detail that is very well executed in this example. Included is a handcrafted and tailored sword belt of top grain genuine thick leather with a sword belt of matching quality leather which can be adjusted to fit with its fine cast bronze buckle.
In consultation with historic experts, the sword and its mass was optimized for proper handling and balance as befits an early 15th century Type XVI arming sword. It is the sort of sword that would have been the heirloom everyday sidearm of a dignified knight. Included with the sword is a Certificate of Origin which is rendered in high quality ink and parchment paper. It is all packaged in attractive Gift Box packaging for a full gift-worthy presentation.
