US Model 1833 Dragoon Saber – Universal Swords

The US M1833 Dragoon Saber has a pipe-backed blade of 1055 high carbon steel. One side of the blade is etched with United States Dragoons over laurel leaves. The hilt is of brass and the grip is leather finished with a spiralled band of twisted brass. The companion scabbard is crafted from steel and is finished with a pair of steel hanging rings.

The M1833 Saber was manufactured by the Ames Manufacturing Company specifically for the 1st and 2nd United States Dragoons Regiments. About 6,100 of these sabers were constructed from 1833 to 1839. The sword was heavily inspired by the British 1822 Light Cavalry Saber and the M1833 was used in the Second Seminole War, the Southwest Indian Wars and the Mexican War.

The pipe-back spine of the blade not only strengthens the blade, but it stiffens the spine; a design that lends itself well to thrusting on the charge as the blade will minimize flex in the thrust and will efficiently transmit maximum energy into the target.

Imperial Shield – Red

Epic Armourys Imperial Shield is a semi-curved gothic latex shield inspired by a late 13th century kite shield. Hand painted and sculpted with careful detail, this shield features a studded metal rim and a laurel-crowned skull and banner on the shields face.

Wear this Imperial Shield left or right handed with the use of its two matched sets of adjustable leather arm straps on the back, secured through hard EVA foam for a reliable and solid grip made to last. Feel confident that this latex shield will withstand the continued abuse of a LARP with regular latex maintenance.

All latex-coated shields need a certain degree of maintenance. For this we recommend using maintenance silicone which can be purchased separately. Epic Armoury Maintenance Silicone is an easy, spray-on application, 100% pure and acid-free making it safe to apply. We recommend using Maintenance Silicone on a regular basis. It maintains the latex-coats flexibility and prevents it from drying out, keeping the product wear and tear resistant.

Store your latex shields flat –NEVER on the tip (if applicable). Use a simple sheet or towel lining to prevent it from touching a plastic or rubber surface to prevent your weapon from adhering to other products. Keep your shield in a cool, dry environment.
Please Note: Handpainted Item – Color may vary
