This Gurkha Khukuri has an unsharpened blade that is forged from high carbon steel. It has a thick spine to ensure that it can power through its strikes to deliver robust chops and cuts. The grip is a composite grip of wood which has been dual-riveted to the thick blade tang to ensure the Kukuri has an overall solid construction. The grip ends in a pommel cap of steel.

The Kukri comes with a pair of small, unsharpened knives of high carbon steel with wood grips. These slide into thin leather slots on the back of the scabbard. The Khukuri comes with a companion scabbard of wood which is bound in leather and fitted with a brass cap. A pair of riveted leather hanging loops allow for it to be worn from the belt.

Kult of Athena Deepeeka Gurhka Kukuri Review

Nice Blade I bought this a little over a couple weeks ago and has not disappointed me yet. The blade came nice and sharp. I have a background with swords but it took just a little getting used to a curved blade as I mostly have dealt with just straight swords. Love this piece and look forward to making more purchases with you guys.

I bought this last year when it was on a deep sale for like 15$, very pleasantly surprised, handle is solid and comfortable, was able to do some wood chopping for kindling after a quick sharpen. Blade feels solid in the handle. Blade has an overall handmade look when you eye it down the spine and see the forging depressions in the mirrored edge, but I kinda like that. Was so pleased I bought two more for easy Christmas gifts for my history nerds. Note: they glued that brass cap onto the bottom of the sheath really sloppily you might have to re-glue it. 6/5 for my price paid but maybe a 4/5 for current pricing.
