Long Winged Spearhead - Deepeeka
Winged spearheads such as this were a common sight in the early Medieval period and would have been seen in the capable hands of Vikings and Frankish Carolingian warriors alike. Also known as lugged spears, the addition of the wings gave the spear some parrying and pushing potential and they would have also prevented over-penetration into a target. This replica of this classic design also has a raised central spine which serves to give the spearhead excellent rigidity to ensure that it strikes with full penetrative force.
This socketed winged spearhead is ready to be mounted onto your own wooden haft with an end which has been tapered to fit. Once in position it can be reinforced by installing two screws through the pre-drilled holes on the socket. Screws and mounting hardware are not included.
