Viking Type D Axe with Etched Norse Design - Deepeeka
This Viking axe has a head which is crafted from high carbon steel which is etched on both sides with complex and ancient Norse knotwork. The haft is carved from robust Ash hardwood and the axe is firmly seated and mounted directly onto the haft with a substantial rivet and it is then further reinforced with a steel axe wedge which is driven into the axe head socket to expand the wood for a very tight and permanent mounting.

The axe is beautiful, and has a satisfying weight to it. The leather ornamentation all over the wooden handle is nice too.
I should give it 5/5, but mine has a noticeable imperfection. The epoxy/glue between the axe head and the wooden handle isn’t very stable and secure, which gives the head a slight but palpable jiggle whenever the weapon is shaken or swung.
