Viking Throwing Axe - Lord of Battles
This Viking Throwing Axe has a head which has been hand-forged from high carbon steel and mounted onto a hardwood haft. Replacement handles are available separately and can be found with a thumbnail link under the also available section on this page.
Please Note: It is not unusual for the axeheads on traditionally-mounted axes to loosen with use over time. Should your axehead need to be re-seated or remounted you simply need to hold the head in a vise while striking the wider end of the wooden haft with a rubber mallet to drive the head into the tapered haft to re-seat the axehead. Also, over time you can expect to break the haft of a throwing axe from throwing practice. It is normal to periodically re-seat an axe head onto a new wooden haft after a breakage.
