Maximilian Gauntlets - Lord of Battles
These highly articulated gauntlets are crafted from plates of riveted 16 gauge steel. The interior of the steel is blackened. The gauntlet is fitted with an integrated suede leather glove. The glove is affixed to the thumb only, but rests freely within the rest of the gauntlet which contains a leather retaining strap to keep the glove and your hand in position.
This is done to allow the size of your hand and the length of your fingers to naturally fit within the gauntlet; this will leave the edge of the gauntlet covering your fingers somewhere between your fingertip to first knuckle, depending upon the dimensions of your hand, though if you have a smaller hand it may cause the gauntlets to feel as if they shift in place when in use.
This item only has a single leather strap to prevent forward shifting movement - it may be necessary to get a better fit from this item to either rivet to fingers of the glove to the gauntlet, or by adding some additional straps (palm strap, etc) that fit across the leather glove. These additional straps would work best if they are made with an adjustable buckle. With some minor modification these gauntlets can be made to best fit your individual hand.

Over sized and floppy A HUUUUUGE gauntlet this product is. It’s so huge that its almost a size of a kick boxing glove!!!! the loose riveting allows great movement of the gauntlet, however the one i got actually have one very lose rivet that needs to be “re-riveted” by myself….
NOT RECOMANDED FOR SMALL PERSON, buy this if you’re either professional hand-ball player, or 7 feet tall basketball athelete with BIG HAND!
Excellent protection. These gauntlets provide excellent protection. As another reviewer said, these things are large. Larger than I thought they would be. Keep in mind, your hand fits through the most narrow part of the cuff. Their size has gotten in the way of longsword sparring once, when the two gauntlets caught on to one another, but that could of just been my technique. These gauntlets are wonderful, and provide ample room for adding padding between the glove and the plates. It would be a solid 5/5 if it had an additional strap.
