Red Dragon – HEMA Sparring Pants

Constructed from 350N rated heavy-duty cotton, these durable pants are designed specifically for HEMA sparring and feature padded protection panels on knees and upper thighs. The pants allow for the knee protection to be upgraded by inserting Red Dragon Knee Protectors (sold separately) into velcro-fastened pockets designed to accommodate this optional protective upgrade.

For HEMA, this product has been classified as either appropriate for all skill levels or appropriate for those with Advanced Skills. Michael Turner, instructor at Tuathair Academy of Swordsmanship, assisted us in categorizing these items for the different skill levels of HEMA participants. These categorizations are meant as guidelines. Please refer to tournament rules for specific competition requirements. For this purpose, we do not include swords that may be used in cutting competitions in the HEMA category.

The pants have elastic torso braces to keep them upright and into place; two adjustable waist straps adjust the fit of the waist for a secure and comfortable fit. There are two velcro-fastened pockets in the back, a zippered front fly and elastic bands integrated into the bottom for a good fit below the knee.
