This stoutly crafted arming cap is crafted with a tough canvas shell with an interior which is well-padded with synthetic material. Two integrated cloth straps tie and secure it around the chin.
An essential bit of medieval war kit, the arming cap provides necessary padding beneath mail coifs and steel helmets. The hard shell of mail or steel helmet do an excellent job of preventing penetration and an underlaying coif aids greatly in absorbing and dissipating concussive force.
