Polish Naval Officer's Saber Model 1922 - Universal Swords
This gorgeous reproduction of a 1922 Polish Naval Officer's Saber is painstakingly reproduced from a historic original, faithfully replicating its dimensions and markings. Its tempered blade is crafted from high carbon steel and is etched in ornamental filigree on both sides, with one side is etched with "HONOR I OJCZYZNA" (Honor and Fatherland) which continues the tradition of this patriotic phrase that hearkens back to the famed Polish Cavalry Saber of 1917. Reproduced makers marks are on the base of the blade on both sides, including marks indicating the original coming from Solingen - the famed "City of Blades" which produced highest quality sword blades for many militaries for centuries.
The hilt is cast from quality and highly detailed brass, with its wooden grip being tightly wrapped in leather and bound in braided wire. The companion scabbard is crafted from hard wood for its core which is wrapped in black leather and completed with a brass chape, locket and furniture made from contrasting cast brass.
