The SENTRY is a brand-new model made by Krieger Armory, and is being exclusively launched through Kult of Athena
The Sentry is a HEMA sparring-safe longsword that features a hybrid Feder / Longsword blade that sports Krieger Armory's standout triple fuller layout. It is an evolution from the highly popular Krieger Armory Sentinel. The new Sentry as seen here is a Feder version of the Sentinel which borrows its distinctive triple fuller design, sharp lines and impressive "sword look" from its predecessor. It has a prominent tall-forte and this elongated ricasso that necks down to a classic Feder blade. The sword brings plenty of reach and the leverage to control it with its long grip and elongated scent-stopper pommel. Its a joy to wield and it masterfully finds the right compromise between agility and ease of handling with enough presence and heft to ensure it has the physicality needed to dominate and win the duel.
The excellently tempered blade of 1075 spring steel is flexible, forgiving in the thrust and is intended to be used in normal HEMA training and competition. This 39 inch blade has a narrowing profile taper that ends with the R4 flattened spatulate tip. The edges are smoothly rounded for durability. The cross guard of 1075 high carbon steel is exceptionally tough having been hardened and double tempered just as the blade. The grip is comfortably waisted and tightly wrapped in cord that is sealed with resin hardener for a truly lasting and materially durable grip wrap. A peened pommel strongly secures the blade and binds all the hilt components together. The pommel is crafted from resilient 1045 high carbon steel.

The Maker
Krieger Armory
Krieger Armory started as a passion project in 2017 by Shawn Kreger and was officially founded in 2020.
Early on we fielded prototype Feders to several members of HEMA clubs local to us and fighters abroad in the wider HEMA scene. We gained invaluable feedback.
We carried on with the goal of creating highly reliable and functional swords for Hema practitioners, with particular care being paid to handling and safety, as well as clean lines and simple beauty.
All of our swords are made at our shop located in Bloomington Indiana.
