The Arms & Armor Aunlaz is based on a 14th century original from the collection of the Royal Armouries in Leeds, England. This example is possibly of English origin, though this style is widely depicted in continental art of the period as well. One of the most famous being Maciejowski Bible where it is depicted in several of the Battle scenes being employed by soldiers and Knights. This style of fighting knife was popular throughout Europe and the ”I” shaped hilt developed into the famous Holbien daggers of the Renaissance period.
The Arms & Armor Aunlaz Dagger features a sharpened carbon steel blade. The guard and pommel are crafted of hand formed steel, while the grip is stained hardwood.
