Cold Steel – Weeping Heart Hawk

This Weeping Heart Tomahawk has the iconic styling of war tomahawks popular among Pioneers and Native Americans alike. In addition to a broad chopping blade the axe has a puncturing spike on the reverse with which it can strike deeply-piercing blows. The head is drop-forged 1055 high carbon steel and the haft is crafted from solid American Hickory.

The axehead features a recessed screw in one side of the socket which can be used to re-seat the axe when it loosens from use. By using an allen key of the right size the screw can be inserted further into the haft to tighten the fitting of the axehead to the haft. Care must be taken not to over-turn the screw however, as pushing it entirely into the wood and past the axehead socket renders this feature entirely useless. For best results the axehead should be moved as high up on the haft as it can go to find a spot with a good and tight fit before securing the axehead with the recessed screw.

For an additional fee we can sharpen the spike on the axehead (which is slightly dull by default) and touch up the edge on the broad-bladed axehead to make it a bit sharper too.
