EGKH – D Guard Machete Cleaver

The 18.5-inch D-Guard Machete from EGKH is a powerful, heavy-duty chopping tool that blends traditional Nepalese craftsmanship with rugged utility. With its extended blade length, substantial mass, and protective knuckle-guard grip, this machete is purpose-built for clearing thick brush to heavy camp work and backyard cutting. Weighing 3 lbs with a point of balance approximately 3.5 inches ahead of the guard, it delivers decisive forward momentum without feeling unwieldy, making each swing authoritative and efficient.

The long, broad blade is hand-forged from tough 5160 high-carbon steel; the extra spine thickness and robust geometry ensure it has the mass to deliver powerful cuts and hacks. The 18.5" cutting surface provides substantial reach, and the weight distribution carries force naturally toward the blade’s forward third, giving the user exceptional chopping capability with minimal effort. The hilt is built around a nearly 7-inch grip, offering plenty of room for gloved or bare-handed use. A full tang construction, the polished hardwood scale slabs are securely riveted to the tang for durability and the prominent D-guard protects the knuckles from errant branches, or close-quarters obstacles. The grip is long enough to allow for a second handhold when needed for even more leverage and power.

Included is a wooden scabbard which is overlaid in leather and completed with a belt loop and buttoned retaining straps.
