Tactical Scimitar - Ex Gurkha Khukuri House
This Tactical Scimitar from the Ex Gurkha Khukuri House of Nepal has a burly and hard-hitting blade of 5160 high carbon steel. The blade was differentially-tempered to possess a dull-resistant 58-60 HRc, a body of 45-46 HRc and a shock absorbing spine of 22-25 HRc. The sweeping blade delivers powerful slashes and deep cuts to a target and the polished wooden grip gives the bearer plenty of leverage with which to wield the sword. The tang runs for about 3/4 of the length of the handle.
The high quality scabbard is crafted from wood which is bound in leather and completed with a faux leather belt loop so that the sword can be worn vertically; it can also be worn across the shoulder with its adjustable shoulder baldric. Integrated with the scabbard is a pair of buttoned retaining straps to secure the hilt.

EGKH, based in Nepal, manufactures high quality kukris (or Khukuris) and other fighting knives. As the official supplier of kukris to the British Gurkha Unit, Marine Corps, Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Indian Gurkhas, EGKH is well versed in providing a good blade. All products are hand forged from high grade carbon steel.

It is a beautiful piece. The blade is nice and just looks amazing. The scabbard is quite nice too. Overall just a very nice scimitar
Scabbard for this scimitar is problematic. The tip of the first scabbard that I received was broken. The leather had been torn and wood tip was exposed and broken. KOA sent a replacement which is better, but the tip is slightly bent. It might make it less authentic, but a metal chape would make the scabbard’s tip more durable. Also, the protruding edge next to the groove in the blade catches on the scabbard making it difficult to remove and reinsert into the scabbard.
Love mine. The weight is great and the pieces all have an excellent fit and finish, plus it was wickedly sharp.
What an abosolutely incredible peice! I have purchased 5 swords and this is by far and above my favorite.
