Overview
Everest Forge - Falx Sword - Dacian War Blade
Perhaps the most vicious sword of classical antiquity, the Dacian Falx with its long grip and even longer blade was effectively a scythe-sword that could slice and cut with brutal efficiency, or deliver fearsome punctures with its pick-like tip. In the hands of the Dacians, the Falx was renowned for rending or even piercing through Roman shields or splitting Roman helmets to gruesome effect. In response to this Dacian weapon the Legionaries began to add segmented armor to protect their limbs and prominent brow ridges on their helmets.
This replica of the famed weapon has a blade of 5160 high carbon steel; its thick blade spine gives it plenty of mass to aggressively power it through forceful chops, hacks and sweeps. The construction of the sword is quite strong with its thick, full tang construction composed of grip scales of polished wood riveted directly to a thick steel tang. Included with the sword is a thick sheath of stitched leather complete with buttoned retaining straps and two sets of belt loops that may allow for it to be worn with a baldric (not included)

The Maker
Everest Forge
At Everest Forge, craftsmanship is not just a skill — it’s a tradition carried forward by generations of blacksmiths. Every sword, kukri , machete, or knife we produce is hand-forged with meticulous care, using age-old techniques that ensure strength, precision, and beauty. We don’t just shape steel — we forge legacy.
Our forging process begins with the soul of our blades — 5160 high carbon leaf spring steel. Revered for its durability, resilience, and edge retention, this steel allows us to produce blades that are tough enough for field use, yet elegant enough to be admired.
Each blade is shaped through fire, hammer, and muscle — not machines. Our smiths rely on intuition and experience, guided by heat and rhythm, to form every curve, taper, and bevel. This isn’t factory production. This is craftsmanship forged in fire. We operate as a Forging House , not a factory. That means every craftsman at Everest Forge is invested in the outcome of every single piece. It’s not about mass production — it’s about legacy, integrity, and honor in every blade.
