Greek Kopis - Deepeeka
This light and swift-striking Kopis is has a blade forged from C60 high carbon steel. The guard is steel and the grip is polished plates of horn riveted to the the thick, full tang of the blade. Included with the sword is a stitched leather sheath with an integrated shoulder baldric which is stoutly riveted onto the sheath with brass rivets.
Unlike most Kopis, this design has notable distal taper which is coupled with a tapered, thinner spine. This makes this Kopis particularly quick and light in the hand to give it a good degree of agility instead of the weighty, mass-driven chopping power of other Kopis. The widened striking tip of the blade ensures that additional blade mass meets the target where needed. The thickened and raised body of the blade gives it the durability and rigidity needed and a thick full tang ensures that the hilt construction is quite robust.
