Shop Hanwei Swords, Armor & More
Master sword smith Paul Chen created Hanwei Swords and led the early industry by creating authentic handmade swords of the highest grade steel over the last several decades. A favorite amongst the industry, the original Hanwei factory suffered from a fire and ownership changes. In 2025, the factory closed and original collaborator Frenchie Jin’s forge (Dragon King / Kingston Arms) has taken over, improving and reintroducing past models. The reinvented Hanwei focuses primarily on Japanese and Chinese models, including the Performance Series Katana. Many of the original European models are now adopted as part of the Kingston Arms line.

Amazing axe I was chopping and splitting wood with it at full strength and it worked great. Well built and good looking only thing that happened was the head came loose so I flipped it upside down and knocked it a few times on my chopping block and it was back to new. Came sharp and ready to go
Crooked head with terrible edge alignment. Edge was terrible, like a hewing axe. Bought it here many years ago when it was around 60 70$. Id say worth the money For a wall piece. As for functional, as in smashy smashy. Sure. Highly functional no, slashy slashy is for axes to. The taper on the head from Eye to edge is very bad. Waaaay Overly thick, heavier than it needs to be. The amount of metal that needs to be removed to have any sort of real functional edge is a lot, that’s with keeping in mind it’s an axe.. but that doesn’t mean it has to be dull. The flaws aside i do love it, i enjoyed making it functional. But it’s not something i should have to to.
Good fighting axe, the sheath is kinda loose however
