Medieval Heater Shield - Red Lion on Yellow Field - Deepeeka
This Heater Shield is hand painted with a red lion over a yellow field. The shield was constructed from poplar wood and bound in linen before being painted.
The back of the shield has a set of riveted leather straps for the arm, as well as a longer strap for wearing over the shoulder. The shield is finished with a cushion of padded leather to give the shield a degree of shock resistance to the arm behind the shield.
