This set of late Medieval splint / Brigandine arm armor consists of 16 gauge steel poleyns which are paired with set of upper and lower leg armor which is crafted from thick and tough quality leather which is directly riveted with strips of steel. This was a common form of protection for the Medieval man at arms that was both practical and effective.  The thick strips make cutting into the leg very difficult and even the thick leather would be a challenge to pierce and puncture with enough effectiveness to wound effectively. This gives the Medieval warrior a high level of protection while using less steel and also incurring less total weight for his armor.

A set of buckles and straps fit and fasten the upper and lower armor to the arms and leather ties integrate them with the all-steel elbow couters for a complete defense. Thick leather tab loops also help suspend the armor from your own arming belt or padded armor beneath. These are One Size Fits Most due to the adjustable components and the flexibility of the leather backing to conform to the body.

It is armor—there are no cutting edges.

Keep the steel lightly oiled and dry after use; condition the leather periodically and avoid long-term moisture exposure.
