Polish Military Officer's Saber 1921/22 Pattern - Universal Swords
This highly detailed Polish Officer's Saber is based on a particularly fine example based on the Polish 1921/22 Pattern Saber which has had its intricate embellishments and character reproduced here. The blade is forged from tempered high carbon steel with is etched on a single side in lavish scrollwork and filigree. It is etched on a single side with "HONOR I OJCZYZNA" (Honor and Fatherland) which continues the tradition of this patriotic phrase that hearkens back to the Polish Cavalry Saber of 1917.
Its hilt with its guard, knucklebow and backstrap are cast from quality brass and full of detail; its grip is smooth faux ivory with braided wire inlay. The sword is matched with a gorgeous scabbard which is of steel with contrasting furniture in matching bright brass and brass hanging rings for wear.
