RFB Breastplate - Polished - 19 Gauge Steel
Epic Armourys Ready for Battle Breastplate is a handmade cuirass designed to protect the front of the torso and abdomen. The plate rests at the hips and has a small flange--or sword turner--that deflects blows from the weak spot where torso and leg armour fit together. Sculpted to fit the body and add structural strength to the steel, this simple armour piece is fully usable with other Epic Armoury metal products.
Secure the RFB Breastplate by tightening the 4 cm wide leather straps across the back, keeping the breastplate in place over your gambeson. Made of polished 1 mm thick mild steel and top-grain leather straps and fittings, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather and metal armour care.
SIZING INFO - Please Note: When measuring your chest circumference you need to first wear any clothing, padded armor or chainmail you intend to wear beneath it before measuring. This is important to do when measuring for any exterior layer or armor.

Great breastplate! I own this breastplate, and am very pleased with it. Looks great with a gorget and pauldrons. It may need some bending, either out or in, on the sides to achieve a personal fit—this is easily done. Extremely comfortable! Just be mindful of the sizing. I stand 5′-7” with a 44″ chest and chose the large …fit perfectly.
An excellent breastplate for LARP, light reenacting, or stage use. Because it’s mild steel you hardly feel the weight, and it’s easy to adjust the fit. Definitely a great buy.
