Roman Subarmalis - Natural - Lord of Battles
Constructed from thick and robust cotton this Roman Subarmalis will ventilate and breathe better than a poly-fill subarmalis due to its natural cotton internal padding. It laces at both sides to afford it a good amount of flexibility when adjusting to fit and size. The lacing holes are reinforced with grommets.
No Roman armored defense is complete without a padded Subarmalis beneath his Segmentata or Hamata; the padding not only aids in absorbing impact from blows on the armor, but also serves as a barrier to protect the Roman warrior and his tunic from chafe against his armor - a particularly important part of his gear when on a long days march in armor!

This is great. A little bulkier than I thought it’d be, so I’m curious as to how it’ll feel during the hot summer months, but it seems like it’ll be breathable enough. It fits really well, is the PERFECt size, easy to get in and out of, and makes both my lorica segmentata and lorica hamata fit so much better and more comfortably. I just wish it was linen or wool rather than cotton
Fantastic quality. Much better than the other subarmalis I have tried that are out there. Yes, it is hot during summer – but the extra padding and the authentic look is well worth it, in my opinion. I have purchased two and will likely come back for more in the future!
