Russian 1826 Infantry Officer's Saber - Universal Swords
This reproduction of the particularly elegant Russian 1826 model Infantry Officer's Saber was of a type that would be borne to war typically by officers of the Grenadier and Engineering regiments of the early 19th century Tsarist military. With its elegant lines and scrollwork filigree the sword is a reflection of the Romanticism art and culture of the 19th century. The blade is forged from tempered high carbon steel and its hilt is finely cast polished brass. Its grip is wood with a wrap of leather and an overwrap of braided brass wire to complete the sword.
The sword comes with a thick and stiff leather sheath with a chape and locket of brass.
