Shield of Lionidas – Foam Shield

Epic Armorys Shield of Lionidas is a concave shield inspired by the famous Greek warriors who faced the thousand nations of the Persian Empire. This 70 cm shield is handpainted and sculpted to look like bronze with deep dents and scrapes from previous battles. A capital lambda, or V-shape, is carved into the face with its point at the dead centre.

Wear this Shield of Lionidas left- or right-handed with the use of one leather grip and an adjustable leather arm strap on the back, secured through hard EVA foam for a reliable and solid grip made to last. Feel confident that this latex shield will withstand the continued abuse of a LARP with regular latex maintenance.

All latex-coated shields need a certain degree of maintenance. For this we recommend using maintenance silicone which can be purchased separately. Epic Armoury Maintenance Silicone is an easy, spray-on application, 100% pure and acid-free making it safe to apply. We recommend using Maintenance Silicone on a regular basis. It maintains the latex-coats flexibility and prevents it from drying out, keeping the product wear and tear resistant.

Store your latex shields flat --NEVER on the tip (if applicable). Use a simple sheet or towel lining to prevent it from touching a plastic or rubber surface to prevent your weapon from adhering to other products. Keep your shield in a cool, dry environment.
