Steel Cuirass with Tasset Plates - 20 Gauge Steel - Lord of Battles - Discontinued
This steel cuirass consists of a breastplate and backplate which are crafted from 18 gauge steel; integrated with the breastplate are three tasset plates for improved defense. Both the breastplate and backplate are made from two separate pieces of armor which are riveted together with stout leather banding which gives them improved articulation by allowing the plates to slide past one another - this construction ensures that wearer is not constrained by unyielding armor when the wearer needs to bend down or sit down. A vertical bisection across the upper torso half also serves aid in maneuverability.
A set of riveted steel buckles and thick leather straps across the shoulders and sides ensure that the armor is easy to don and adjust to fit. The interior of the armor is blackened to impart a degree of rust resistance.
