The Gunthur – Medieval Arming Sword - Deepeeka - Blemished Grade
The Gunther is knightly arming sword of the High Middle Ages of the 13th Century. Swords such as this were intended to be an everyday companion to the knight or professional man at arms and their design was well-suited for cutting and thrusting alike to ensure that its wielder could defend himself from any manner of foe. The sword is designed to be large enough for battle, but not so large as to be inconvenient for riding and everyday wear.
The blade is forged from EN45 high carbon steel which is stoutly peened into its matched hilt. The crossguard and pommel are crafted from steel and the wooden grip is bound in a wrap of tight leather. The sword is matched with a companion scabbard with a leather wrap over a wooden core.
