Viking Type B Axe - Deepeeka
This Viking axe has a head which is crafted from high carbon steel which is mounted onto a stout haft which is carved from robust Ash hardwood. The axe is firmly seated and mounted directly onto the haft with a substantial rivet and it is then further reinforced with a steel axe wedge which is driven into the axe head socket to expand the wood for a very tight and permanent mounting.
Knotted and riveted bands of thick and high quality vegetable-tanned leather and a spiralled leather grip complete the axe.

Often paired together
The axe feels well built and sturdy, but they are not worth the money. I ordered 2 axes…one is warped from the bottom of the cutting edge to the top by about a quarter inch. I added the sharpening service so someone spent time with this axe and either didn’t notice or just didn’t care. Both axes I received have multiple chips and dents on the axe head.
