Viking Type E Axe with Etched Norse Design - Deepeeka
This Viking axe has a head which is crafted from high carbon steel which is etched on both sides with complex and ancient Norse knotwork. The haft is carved from robust hardwood and the axe is firmly seated and mounted directly onto the haft with a substantial rivet and it is then further reinforced with a steel axe wedge which is driven into the axe head socket to expand the wood for a very tight and permanent mounting.
Knotted and riveted bands of thick and high quality vegetable-tanned leather and a spiralled leather grip complete the axe.

Very well made and sturdy. I have chopped a bunch of wood and thrown it at a few trees and no damage. I also had it sharpened before it shipped and I couldn’t have been happier.
Very disappointed. I understand that it’s a relatively cheap axe but the head was very loose and the leather was basically falling off. At this point I’m going to scrap the handle and create my own. The head itself is fine but the product as a whole I would not recommend.
