Built for the rigors of HMB Medieval Sport Combat, this Brigandine gauntlets are reinforced with additional riveted steel plates over the knuckles and fingertips for even greater protection. These articulated gauntlets are crafted with internal plates of tempered 0.8 mm spring steel for excellent hand protection. The plates are riveted between a shell of high-quality suede leather and the addition of thick internal padding within these gauntlets improves their resilience to concussive impacts.

Often paired together
You get a ton of extra maneuverability and dexterity in the hands and the plates do a great job at protecting but mine are just a few months old and the suede material that comprises the body of the glove is already falling apart and not just at the seams, a few rivets have torn loose. Wouldn’t pay this price again, even if I like using them
