Overview
Valiant Armoury Craftsman Series – Greatsword with Scabbard
This Greatsword from Valiant Armoury’s Craftsman Series is a professional warrior’s sword with a lot of presence and fierce cutting ability. Despite its large size it is surprisingly swift and agile for its size and it would be a grave error to underestimate its striking speed when wielded in skilled hands. The blade is crafted from 6150 high carbon steel which has been twice-normalized to improve its internal steel grain structure and to ensure that the blade is optimally and evenly tempered when heat treated. The tempered hardness is 52 HRc and the blade has appleseed-shaped edges which are not only sharp, but also more resistant to damage than a simpler flat grind edge.
The guard and pommel are of steel and the long grip is hardwood which has been tightly bound in quality leather. A hot peen pommel assembly ensures that the blade and hilt are robustly assembled to complete the sword. The sword is paired with a companion scabbard of wood which is wrapped in premium quality leather. An integrated sword belt of durable leather with an adjustable belt buckle completes this premium sword and scabbard offering.
