Regenyei - Tournament Saber
The tough and robust Tournament Saber by Regenyei is purpose-designed for hard-hitting tournament combat and high speed sparring. According to Regenyei, the blade has enough flex in it to allow for "full strength thrusts" under control and to strike a balance between safety and performance. Its focus on durability and resilience makes it the go-to choice from Regenyei's saber selection for rigorous tournament and training. The 33 inch blade is classed as "flexible" by Regenyei at about 4.5 to 5 kgs of force and is also tempered to a 49-51 HRc hardness.
Crafted from thick and tough 3 - 3.5 mm thick steel, the perforated guard is wide, encompassing and brings excellent protection to the hand. The grip of hardwood is over 5 inches in length and is wrapped with an epoxy soaked cord overwrap to give it a tough and reinforcing binding that also provides a tactile grip. A strong nut pommel assembly secures the threaded tang of the sword into the hilt.
