Not even in my hands yet… As of this posting, I ordered this about 10 minutes ago. I love that Deepeeka FINALLY did something right. :) This helm is SCREAMING for a paint-job with my coat-of-arms on the blank side. At this price…heck…buy two or three. With a riveted-in chin strap, a good thick arming cap, and my chainmail coif….oh, yeah. ;) It’s actually big enough for my brain-filled cranium! :D This is a winner…100%. Yup. Thumbs-up to Deepeeka and KoA. Hell yeah……McM
Exactly what I was hoping for… I received the helm today, and it far exceeded my hopes. What a helm! Not overly heavy, and with the beanie cap that came along with it, fits my 23-1/2” head with plenty of room for extra padding and a mail coif. I can wear my glasses under it, and there’s no ‘nose smushing’ like on some helms of this style advertised on-line. The polish is not 100% perfect, but I wasn’t expecting it to be. Nothing some Scotch-Brite and WD-40 won’t fix. :D I like my armor a soft, rubbed finish anyway. There are a few VERY minor things I would have done a little differently, but the overall quality of this piece makes up for it. Now, all that’s left to do is rivet in a chin strap and figure out my paint scheme. I had thought about fixing this up really fancy and re-selling it….I am having severe second thoughts about that. I just believe this will be a keeper. Anyone who loves the look of a great helm…you will NOT be disappointed here. Get one before they sell out and are gone for good. Best helm I own, hands down. And, last but not least, thanks to KoA and the UPS for getting this to me quickly and safely!
