This pelerine padded hood is ready to be worn under your helmet to give you substantial impact protection for hard hitting sport combat. Designed for HMB (Historical Medieval Battles) combat this Pelerine is padded with thick foam and will encompass the dome and sides of the head. Thick fabric pads the ribbed collar.

Often paired together
I’m taking a knife to this thing and cutting off the throat protector to sew it to my helmet. It’s not poorly made, but the foam padding leaves something to be desired. Get a boxers helmet and glue that foam to the inside of your brain bucket if you intend on fighting and keeping cognitive functions. This thing is not for use in combat in my opinion, and it should be a standalone item to prevent head injury prior to steel headgear. On the plus side it is machine washable.
