APOC – Double Mukk Hatchet

The Double-Headed Mukk Axe is a modernized recreation of the double-bit camp axe favored by famed 19th century outdoorsman "Nessmuk" with a bit of Viking blade style as well. Look more closely at this axehead and you will see that its "twin" axe blades are asymmetrical; this "duo-grind" axehead uses a different blade grind on each side which is optimized for different jobs on trail and camp. Its shorter and more rounded convex grind is suited for heavy-duty work whilst the flat grind on the opposing side is more efficient for finer and lighter work. Compact in size this axe makes for a great tool to have at the ready among your gear or bug-out bag. For jobs that require hammering or for driving stakes the flat of the axehead can be used or the butt of the handle which was widened and reinforced so that it could be used for striking.

The axe is constructed from a single solid piece of 9260 high carbon steel for supreme durability; the steel was tempered to a low 50s HRc hardness and then given a black anodized coating. The grip scales are tough and long-lasting G10 fiberglass composite and the included double-head sheath is made from tough plastic with faux leather buttoned retention straps. The sheath is Molle compatible so the axe can be easily attached to your gear.
