Cold Steel - Black Bear Bowie Machete
The Black Bear Bowie combines the handling and powerful chopping geometry of the Bowie Knife with the affordability of a machete with some additional durability improvements such as a full tang and a steel guard. The blade is 1055 high carbon steel which has been treated with a baked on, black powder coating to give it improved rust resistance.
Though primarily built for hacking and chopping, the tapered tip and sharpened false edge make it a surprisingly capable thrusting weapon as well. This fighting dagger has a full tang and a steel guard and these are encased within impact polypropylene to create a tough and seamless hilt.
Included is a Core-Ex Sheath of durable nylon with a hardened polymer tip and an integrated belt loop complete with buttoned retaining strap. This Bowie is an affordable companion for camp duties, bushcraft and survival kits.
