The Cold Steel Bowie Machete is a light and fast chopper with an acutely tapered puncturing tip; a handy and affordable fighting blade. The blade is durable 1055 high carbon steel with a sharpened false edge and a black matte baked-on rust resistant coating. The grip is practical and robust impact polypropylene with a pre-drilled hole that accommodates your own lanyard.
Included with the Bowie is a Core-Ex sheath of tough nylon with a hard impact plastic tip and a buttoned retaining strap.
