Overview

Condor Ironside Viking Sword

The Viking Ironside Sword by Condor is named in honor of Bjn Ironside - the legendary 9th century Viking king of Sweden. The sharpened blade is 1075 high carbon steel which has been mounted into a hilt with an iron crossguard and pommel and a hardwood grip which is bound in tightly wrapped spiralled leather. Runes are etched onto a single side of the sword blade. The sword is peened over the pommel to create a durable hilt construction.

Included with the sword is a hardwood scabbard with an iron chape and a wooden suspension loop.

Please Note: It is common for this item to have patches of rust on the iron scabbard chape piece.

I bought this sword from KOA a couple years ago and never left a review. I see that no one else has so I guess I’ll be the first. This is one of my favorite swords. It comes out of the box sharp and it’s oiled to protect it. It’s made really well and you can’t really beat it for the price. Many swords in this price range are made out of 1055 or 1065, while this is made of 1075 high carbon steel. The scabbard is also made really well. The only minor complaint I have is that the grip could’ve been covered in a better material. The leather used is just really thin and flat. Not really a big deal though. Overall I’m very happy with my purchase.
