Lord of Battles - Conical Shield Boss - 16 Gauge - Hand Hammered Finish
This conical shield boss is crafted from 16 gauge steel that has been left with a lightly-polished, forged finish accented with hammer marks to give it a battle-worn, or rough-forged appearance. Riveting hardware is included to allow affixing it to the center of your shield.
A conical shield boss not only protects the hand which grips the shield, but the conical shape gives more impetus to the power of a frontal shield bash.

A decent boss Title says it all. This is the first boss I’ve ordered so I can’t really compare it to anything else. Looks nice enough, though the hammer marks look a little fake. Biggest problem was the rivets that came with it were too short. Mind you, my shield is not much (if any, not very knowledgeable about shield thickness) thicker then historical shields that would have a boss.
Worth every penny! I now have four of these bosses and all stand up to full speed reenactment fights. I’ve taken a Dane Axe at full speed to this thing and it barely left a mark. This is the only boss I’ll buy for my guilds shields.
