Exeter Pugio Dagger - Deepeeka
The Exeter Pugio has an unsharpened blade of high carbon steel. The grip is a composite of layered horn and steel securely riveted to a full tang. The dagger has a companion scabbard with a core of wood which is overlaid in brown leather and bound in a sturdy and protective steel frame with four steel hanging rings.

Often paired together
This looks great, it’s a nice solid construction, and it’s got some nice heft to it that’s held up well to some testing. It does have 2 somewhat notable flaws as well as one small one, but for the price, I only find it worth docking one star over them. First, the blade has a noticeable warp in it. I wouldn’t quite call it a banana blade, but it’s visible. Second, it’s too tight a fit in the scabbard to the point where it’s difficult to sheath and draw. The smaller issue is there’s a very small crack that runs through one of the horn scales on the grip- it’s very secure, there’s no bits sticking out anywhere or anything, it’s just a small thing.
It has an unfinished look.
The blade is straight looking at the edge but if you look at the flat side its noticeably bent to one side so it doesn’t fit properly in the sheath.
I am tempted to take it to a blacksmith to refine it. It’s a finished blade, but it really lacks refinement.
