Krieger Armory - The Arbiter Feder
Krieger's Arbiter feder blade features a sloping schilt design that sheds incoming strikes from the opponent's blade away from your hand to the crossguard. This blade has a narrowing profile taper that ends in our rev. 2 flattened spatulate tip. The edges are smoothly rounded for durability. The crossguard is exceptionally tough having been hardened and double tempered just as the blade. The grip is comfortably waisted and tightly wrapped in cord that is sealed with resin hardener. It provides a slightly aggresive texture to the cord and feels great in and out of gloves.
Krieger Armory swords are well crafted and fully made in the USA. The high quality steel is well-tempered and even the crossguards and pommel are tempered for durability, unlike the mild steel used by the vast majority of other swordmakers. Krieger offers a 1 year zero hassle free warranty a limited lifetime tune-up (transferrable between owners) Meaning that after a full year, Krieger will replace the blade for only a fraction of the cost of a new sword. The original hilt hardware is re-used and paired with a new replacement blade. If needed, a clean up the hilt parts/ re cord wrap will also be done.
For HEMA, this product has been classified as either appropriate for all skill levels or appropriate for those with Advanced Skills. Michael Turner, instructor at Tuathair Academy of Swordsmanship, assisted us in categorizing these items for the different skill levels of HEMA participants. These categorizations are meant as guidelines. Please refer to tournament rules for specific competition requirements. For this purpose, we do not include swords that may be used in cutting competitions in the HEMA category.

The Maker
Krieger Armory
Krieger Armory started as a passion project in 2017 by Shawn Kreger and was officially founded in 2020.
Early on we fielded prototype Feders to several members of HEMA clubs local to us and fighters abroad in the wider HEMA scene. We gained invaluable feedback.
We carried on with the goal of creating highly reliable and functional swords for Hema practitioners, with particular care being paid to handling and safety, as well as clean lines and simple beauty.
All of our swords are made at our shop located in Bloomington Indiana.
